Darryl Hostyn (Returning)

"In my first four years as Mayor, there were a lot of issues to deal with. I believe that the majority of them were dealt with and a foundation for future Administration was established.

Now that things have been stabilized, it is now time to look to the future for Thorsby. With the formation of a Municipal Controlled Corporation ('MCC') with the County of Wetaskiwin #10, and the proposed subdivision, these movements are the future. I want to be a part of it and see them through to completion."

Carol Rempel (New)

"I am a very passionate and caring person who wants to be involved with the future of our community, by making decisions that directly improve people’s lives. As a team, the council and administration shall have a great impact if we work together to solve local issues and ensure that policies and programming serve ALL residents.

Building strong partnerships and collaborating with other communities such as, Leduc County, our MP, MLA, businesses, organizations, and our residents, we will communicate effectively and together have lasting relationships and networks. By encouraging community involvement, it inspires everyone to actively participate in the growth and prosperity of Thorsby.

I have been an active volunteer in our community as the ex office secretary of the Thorsby and District Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Concierge in 2019, member of the Thorsby Rural Healthy Communities Initiative, FCSS Advisory Board member, Chair of the Spirit of Thorsby Fundraising committee, and as an Animator for the AB Rural Mental Health Project accessed grant money for local projects. Our future of our community is important to me where every idea has a chance to make a difference."
