What are Minutes & Agendas?

Municipal meeting agendas and minutes are governance documents that keep a record and accountability of all decisions within the Town of Thorsby's Council.

  • The agenda is a structured outline prepared in advance of a council or committee meeting. It identifies the items to be discussed such as bylaws, reports, and motions.
  • The minutes are the official written record of what occurred during the meeting. They document attendance, motions brought forward, decisions made, and any resolutions passed.

Agendas are usually published by 4:30pm the preceding Friday before the meeting date. Minutes are approved and signed at every single Regular Meeting of Council, and cover all unapproved minutes prior to that meeting.

Please note that due to a change in meeting agenda/minute software, all Council Meetings from prior to March 2026 are not listed in the table, but everything going forward will be. Past minutes and agendas until February of 2022 can be found here. As well, a database of all recorded council meetings can be found on the Town of Thorsby Youtube. Going forward, the recordings will be available via this page. If you are looking for any further agendas or minutes, you may reach out to the Legislative Clerk Jesse Carleton at jcarleton@thorsby.ca.
