Hey Thorsby! It’s Snow Time!

November 29 2024

Winter is here, and we want to make sure our sidewalks are safe and clear for everyone in our community! Starting November 30th, sidewalk inspections will be in full swing to ensure compliance with Bylaw 2006-05, Section 7, Subsection 18.

Here’s the deal:
48 hours is all you’ve got to clear snow, ice, dirt, or debris from the sidewalk adjacent to your property after it’s deposited. Failure to comply may result in a $57 fine and the cost of snow removal being added to your property taxes. Ouch!
