At about 8:30 a.m. this morning, a marked Town of Thorsby vehicle was stolen and was last seen been driven recklessly through residential areas. The matter has been reported and if you have any information regarding this crime, we urge you to please contact the RCMP directly.

Water break update
Efforts to locate the low level leak are still continuing, and the melting snow continues to hinder efforts. Crews are exercising valves trying to narrow down the area of the leak flows and this may result in residents/businesses in those areas experiencing discoloured water. Crews are currently focusing on the Hankin Street Area. Further updates will follow as things progress

Water Break - Disruptions
Monitoring systems at the water treatment plant have alerted staff that there is a slow water break within in our infrastructure. Public works staffs are working to locate the break, but melting snow and ice are hindering operations as there is a lot of water starting to form with the increase in temperatures.. It is believed to be somewhere in the area of 49 Ave/49 Street and residents/businesses in the area may experience short interruption to water service while crews turn valves on...
