After years of fundraising, in 2016 the seniors finally started a building committee to pull everything together and to find grants for the final push to help their dream of a new seniors centre become a reality.

In 2017 their application for a  Community Facilities Enhancement Grant through the Province was approved for $125,000, and and along with there own funds and additional grants from Leduc County and the Town of Thorsby, they finally broke ground and engaged a local building company to start the project.

It is a fabulous addition to our community that will serve for many, many years to come.
