Sidewalk Snow Removal
Sidewalks are used by everyone, kids walking to school, people out exercising, walking their dog, or just needing to get to the local store. Please do your part to help keep them safe! Ensure your sidewalk is cleared as soon as possible after a snow fall. Did you know, Thorsby has a Snow Angel policy? Please help those who need a hand. Note: Snow is required to be removed from sidewalks within 48 hours of a snowfall.

Does your neighbour next door or down the street need a helping hand with snow removal and you’d like to help? Did you know that "Snow Angels" are permitted under our community standards bylaw. We only ask that you please be mindful of safety and ensure your powered equipment is plated and insured to be compliant with any provincial legislation.

Community Standards Bylaw #2016-18 section 2.7.4 prohibits the deposit of commercial flyers/private flyers, advertisements on power poles, light standards, municipal trees, benches, flower containers, garbage cans, sign posts, or other municipal, provincial or federal properties.
