The Order in Council has been approved and will come into effect January 1, 2017 and Thorsby will then be recognized as a Town. Following discussion at the regular meeting of Council, September 27, 2016, it is proposed to bring forward an amended to Business Bylaw #2001-03 to Council during October, which will make clear that there is no requirement for a business license for vendors wishing to take part in organized events such as craft fairs.
