SUSPECTED WATER LINE BREAK

Our water operator has reported higher than normal water flow through the plant, indicating that there may be a water line break. Public Works staff are on sight trying to identify the location, however melting conditions are hindering an early locate .  We ask residents to contact the Public Works on call number 780 818 4876 if they notice increased water pooling in their area to assist in location identification, We thank you for your assistance and further update will follow. Waterline Break now fixed

The watermain break on 52 Street has now been repaired.   While the lines have been flushed via local hydrants, we encourage any residents affected by the interruption to supply, to run their taps for a short while to flush their internal lines. We thank everyone for their understanding and patience during the repairs.

Water Main Break Update

 Frozen ground conditions have hamperied crews as they attempt to pin point the main waterline break for repairs.  Crews have taken a short break over suppertime but will be back on scene this evening to continue efforts to find the break and effect repair as soon as possible.   We thank you for your patience.

At approximately 4:15 p.m. the water plant operator reported high volume loss from the system, Thanks to a call in by a resident, the location was quickly identified as being in the area of 52 Street and 53 Avenue.   Unfortunately, as the flow was threatening to enter nearby property we were unable to throttle back flow to maintain supply to residents at a lower pressure in the area.  Alberta One Call has been contacted and crews will be deployed to repair the main as soon as ... Water Line Break - Update

Due to difficult ground conditions, crews are experiencing difficulties in locating the precise location of the break.  Latest estimates are that it could now be tomorrow before the repair is fully completed. Water supply to residents is currently intermittent, but will be restored overnight.  Crews are expected to complete the work  tomorrow, January 3rd. when supplies may again be disrupted. WATER LINE BREAK

 A water line break has been reported on 54 Avenue.  Pressure has been throttled back but, actual supply is currently not interrupted as we wait on the excavation crew who are expected later this morning, January 2nd. Water supply will be interrupted later in the morning/early afternoon, but full service is expected to be returned before end of the day.
