Water Taste Update

Our water technicians continue to liaise closely with Alberta Environment and Capital Health regarding the current taste and odour issues being experienced by residents.  Our quality results continue to record well within required limits for compliance and they are not requesting any changes to protocols or processes, or requesting additional testing at this time. Water taste issues

Over the past week or so, we have been receiving complaints regarding the taste and odour of Thorsby tap water. The water is independently tested weekly and is safe to drink, the smell and taste are due to organics which usually occur when temperatures are high for continuous periods of time, as over the past few weeks, and the temperature rises in our raw water ponds prior to process.  Our water treatment plant processes the water to ensure safety for drinking etc.. , however, it doe... We have received notification today, that construction crews will be commencing road work in the Madison area of Town on Monday July 17, 2017. Traffic areas that will be impacted are 53 & 52 Avenues,49, 48 & 47 Streets. Bylaw Enforcement Update

Effective June 14, 2017 the Town of Thorsby has Bylaw Enforcement Officer Services back on patrol. Our new service provider will consist of a four person team who will provide enforcement services to the community on an agreed upon schedule with administration.  For efficiencies and cost effectiveness , on call services will not be provided, but residents are encouraged to call and leave a message and an enforcement officer will return calls at the start of the next scheduled shift o...
